What are these talking "agents/characters/dogs"? They are a free technology from Microsoft. It gives a talking interface where a web page, document, interface, or help can be given. It can also be used for speech recognition for commands to be spoken to your computer.
A similar thing is built into MS Office 2000 as the Office Assistant.
In the case of this web site, it will make the visit here more enjoyable, and fun. Pepe, Bruce, and their assistant the Bone will hopefully make you smile.
